Relax Family Style At Te Anau Homestay
Te Anau Homestay has created over 200 unforgettable farm and family homestay experiences with Airbnb.
How do we achieve that?
We make time to talk to you.
- we’ll talk with you
- you may book activities through us
- we will direct you to, and provide information about local things to do
- you’ll be offered a free farm walk
- you may milk a goat, if you wish to
- gourmet breakfast is included
- you may have a chance to see the “Milky Way” stars at night
- book the 2 private rooms or 1 tiny cabin
- we do laundry, free!
It’s pleasure to share our family life with you.
We aim to create unforgettable family experiences at our farm stay for every guest.
This the feedback we have received from house and cabin guests: they are welcomed into our home “with open arms” right from the first moment the guests arrive.

Our goal as a host is make spending time on our farm one of the highlights of your trip.
At our home the arrival of new guests is anything but “business as usual”. It’s an event, all of its own. Why? Because we do not have more than 2 sets of guests at one time.

Every day that guests arrive the younger three children are eagerly awaiting a new experience. Our children, love to share our open fire in the family lounge. They want you to meet the animals. We are all proud of the homemade food we offer. For them the arrival of guests is an adventure!
But for you, the guests, a stay in our home is only part of the adventure!
What is the purpose of this site?
This site was set up so that guests who have stayed with us can pass on information about their unforgettable stay to friends, and family.
Te Anau Homestay has two main services to offer.
- Our homestay, and Farm walk activities
- New Zealand activities and attractions bookings for our guests
What do customers say about our homestay accommodation?
“Junko and Neil’s place is phenomenal. They are the epitome of hospitality…
In addition, the tour around the farm was really neat and the dinner and breakfast with them are to die for. One of our favorite experiences in all of NZ.
If you are making your way to Milford Sound, this place is definitely worth the stay.”- Hayley, USA
